Two of the most recognized world religions are Christianity and Islam. These religions all mark the important events in a person's life such as birth, marriage and death in different ways, but there are often similar concepts.
Christians believe that Jesus was the son of God, born of the virgin Mary. Jesus taught people many things and preformed many miracles before he was crucified to pay for the sins of humanity.

Islam is a monotheistic religion based on revelations received by the Prophet Muhammad in the 7th century, which were later recorded in the Qur'an, Islam's sacred text. The faith spread rapidly and today Islam is the second largest religion in the world.
