Key beliefs:
Those who follow Islam are Muslims. There are 6 main beliefs that the Muslims believe in:
~ A belief in Allah as the one and only God
~ A sacred belief in Angels
~ A belief in their Holy Books
~ Belief in the prophets like Ibrahim, Musa and Isa
~ Muhammad as the final prophet
~ Belief in the day if Judgement (the day when the life of every human being will be assessed to decide whether they go to heaven or hell)
~ Belief in Predestination (Allah has the knowledge of all that will happen)
Allah is the name given by Muslims to the supreme and unique God, who created and rules everything. The heart of faith for all Muslims is obedience to Allah's will.
A belief in the 5 pillars of Islam are in these practices:
Shahadah: Reciting the Muslim profession of faith
Salat: Performing ritual prayers
Zakat: Almsgiving to the needy
Sawm: Fasting during the month of Ramadan
Hajj: Pilgrimage to Mecca
